"Why? Why are they doing this to me?" wailed Avery. She put her head in her hands as she stared at the paper in front of her. "What are they trying to do to me?"
I get that from Matthew for his word wall words! He gets 5 words to study for the week and then they have a spelling test every Friday. He is also expected to be able to spell them and use them properly all week during school. Luckily, he seems to be doing quite well with it. That doesn't mean he enjoys practicing them when I say it's time! I usually get " awwww, this again! Why do I have to do this now?!" To which my answer is usually... " because the sick donkey has said it's time!"
